Our health app had a beautiful dashboard. Charts for sleep, steps, heart rate, everything. Users opened it once and never came back. The data was there, but the answer was not. Nobody wakes up wanting a chart. They want to know one thing: am I okay, and what should I do today. So we replaced the wall of graphs with a single sentence that changes daily, backed by the data underneath if they want it. Engagement tripled. The charts were not wrong, they were just the wrong first screen. In health especially, information without a next step is just anxiety with a nice color palette. Lead with the answer. Let the curious dig into the numbers behind it.
