Pre-selling before building: my $3k validation weekend
Founders about to spend months building unvalidated products
Building first and validating later burns runway and morale
I pre-sold my current product before writing a line of code, and it changed how I build forever. The recipe: one landing page, one problem statement, one price, and a payment link that says shipping in thirty days. Then I talked to exactly the people who complained about that problem in public. Not friends. Not other founders. The actual humans with the pain. Thirty conversations. Eleven said maybe. Four paid. Three thousand dollars in pre-orders for a product that did not exist. Those four customers designed the entire first version through their questions. Building after pre-selling is a different sport. You are not guessing what to build. You are keeping promises to people with names. Ship your landing page. Let the market co-sign before the codebase.
